Events

This page will be updated with details of upcoming events. These may be events that the Group are organising or helping at in order to help raise money for our new hut (see the New Scout HQ page), or may be community events that you can come to or help at. Each event indicates if it is to help with fundraising or is a community event.

Please feel free to come along to these, have some fun and help us raise money for our new hut at the same time.

November 2019

10th November – Remembrance Parade

  • 9:45 – 11:30am in Central Farnham.
  • 4th Farnham (Tongham) Scouts are taking part in the parade in Central Farnham. Come along and join the community in remembering those who gave so much for us.
  • This is a community event.

10th November – Fireworks

  • 6 – 9pm at Tongham Recreation Ground.
  • Entry is by donation at the gate (donations are split between causes with the Scouts being one).
  • The Tongham display is always a spectacular and busy one, a fun evening for all the family.
  • This is a fundraising event.

30th November – Free Peace Sweet Band night

  • 7:30 – 11pm at Victoria Hall, Ash.
  • Tickets £10 (only 85 tickets available)
  • A local rock band playing classics from the 60s to 90s. A fun evening of music and dancing
  • This is a fundraising event.

December 2019

14th December – Winter Ball

  • 7 – 12pm at Farnham Memorial Hall
  • Tickets £25
  • A  joint venture with Network.
  • Tickets include a 3 course meal and live music.
  • Dress code: Black Tie
  • This is a fundraising event.

21st December – Carol Singing

  • Tesco, Aldershot.
  • Lets start the festive season with some great carol singing. This is an event for all the family with traditional carols and Christmas classics in the play list
  • This is a fundraising event.

21st December – Community Carol Singing

  • 7pm start at White Hart, Tongham.
  • Singing carols outside the pub and collecting money for a local charity. This is a fun singalong for all the family!
  • This is a community event (we are collecting, but it is for a local charity instead of for the Scouts)

January 2020

4th January – TR5’s Band Night

  • 7:30 – 11pm at Victoria Hall, Ash.
  • Tickets £10
  • Still full of Christmas Spirit? Come along and dance all those mince pies off to local band, the TR5’s.
  • This is a fundraising event

February 2020

1st February – Quiz Night

  • Time TBC at Victoria Hall, Ash.
  • Tickets TBC
  • Whether you are an egg head or not why not get a team together for an evening of light hearted quizzing!
  • This is a fundraising event.

21st February – Hogs Back Brewery Tour and Curry Night

  • Time TBC at Hogs Back Brewery and then 4th Farnham Scout Hut, Tongham.
  • Tickets TBC
  • Start the evening with the ever popular Hogs Back Brewery Tour followed by one of the Group’s legendary curries.
  • This is a fundraising event.

March 2020

28th March – Jumble Sale

  • Time and location TBC
  • Start saving all those fantastic items!
  • This is a fundraising event.
