BEN NEVIS SPONSORED CLIMB

As mountains are a bit short on the ground in Surrey, the 4th Farnham (Tongham) Scout Group has decided to use Farnham District’s Climbing Tower at Garners’ Field to collectively climb the tower to at least the height of Ben Nevis, 1,345m. All money raised will go towards the rebuilding of the HQ.

All Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Leaders, Parents and Siblings can take part, you just have to be at least 6 years of age and reasonably fit. We will be meeting at Garners Field Scout Campsite, Sheephatch Lane, Tilford on Saturday 30th September from 08.30.

Great news at long last planning application is about to go in to Surrey for our new building. Just need £250000. The ball is rolling.

Farnham network section, that is scouts aged between 18 & 25 years old. 8 of them with Neil Peerman kayaked from my house to Great Bottom flash. A wet time was had by most. Network tend to meet during the summer months due to university commitments.
